Wanted to give my love the ring of her dreams and was promised a price I could afford by Tick Tock. After putting down my payment they tried to triple what I paid to do the ring we agreed on. This was frustrating after doing our research and getting quotes from other jewelry stores saying that the original price agreed upon was more than fair and tripling it would be insane. Because of the obvious signs all over the store "no returns or refunds" we were at a loss. After making 7 total trips traveling over an hour each time, and dealing with 3 different people at tick tock, we partially got what we wanted. They sent us home with a ring that doesn't fit the description of how we wanted it customized, and it is too big to the point where it falls off. We had a deal and they didn't hold up their end. Although they did offer to make it right if we paid yet more money. I expressed all of my hurt to them and the reply I got was "we wouldn't be in business so long if we were screwing people", but yes they are in business because getting engaged is a one time deal, they can screw everyone once then onto the next poor sucker. All in all I was taken advantage of and this is not an experience I wish for any couples to have to go through.
This has been the "go to" place for watch and jewelry repairs and purchases in our family for many years. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The selection is good across and wide range of styles and prices. The estate and vintage jewelry makes especially fun gifts!
I wouldn’t bring my jewelry there ever again. It was good when the older man and woman owned it. I brought my 1000.00 watch there last year to be fix and the daughter of the owner who runs it now ruined the face of my watch by scratching the 14 karat gold when I confronted her she denied it gave me my money back just to get me out of there. I wanted to take her to small claims court but it was my word against hers. My advice to people take a picture of your watch, ring, necklace or whatever you bring in so you have proof. I did business with these people for years but not anymore as far as I concern I would not recommend them to anyone! You are a bunch of liars you didn’t resolved nothing you gave me my 40.00 back for ruining my watch how is that resolving anything. You just want to own up to what you did. I telling you people take pictures before bringing anything into this shop! I won’t even deal with these people ever nor would I recommend them. Really Bad!
Saved my Christmas—fixed my mother's antique watch and repaired another of her necklaces. Her granddaughter will be thrilled. No job too big or too small, love these folks.
What a wonderful, unexpected experience we had at Tick Tock yesterday. I went in with my husband and daughter to have a simple adjustment done on my beautiful new earrings. While waiting, I asked if they would buff my 25 year old Tick Tock engagement and wedding rings which I had mistakenly put into a silver cleaning solution........overnight! (If you’ve done this, it’ll freak you out as your rings will look ruined!) After settling on a reasonable price, they asked me to return that same day to pick them up as they wanted me to have both of my rings for New Year’s. I was surprised when I returned 3 hours later and they gave me my rings.... they were so, so beautiful again! All buffed and shiney, just like 25 years ago - and no charge! They simply wished us well for our next 25 years....
What did my daughter say? “I’m totally getting MY wedding rings from Tick Tock someday”. Hope so! Thanks TT!
