At a glance, this store appears to have a large selections of items, in fact it does. It's huge. Sadly, the massive size of this store must affect the ability of it's employees to keep items in stock. I have on several occasions been unable to get simple items or a response from the employees that run the respective departments. Before I continue I must mention that I was employed for a year with a large grocery store in California when I was younger and know much about how a store should be run. Having said that; the produce department is awful. Specifically, the presentation is really bad, which you will notice. They are frequently out of commons items like lettuce and the only time I saw an employee working the department he ignored my questions 3 times until I finally got right in front of him. At that point he immediately said they were out of the product I asked for, which I doubt. He also didn't bother to check. On a different occasion they were completely out of ground beef; all kinds! I couldn't believe it. After waiting by the butcher counter for ten minutes, I finally found an employee who said the truck would be there within a half hour and it would be out right after that. Well, I spent over an hour shopping and kept checking to no avail. On top of this, I never saw another meat department employee to ask about it. I'm not only complaining here, the deli department is great, not super quick, but few are. The dairy department is usually well stocked but they're always trying to sell products, like milk, that is a day from expiration. Be sure to check the dates before buying. The cashiers are very nice and efficient, and the self checkout is a nice touch too. The store is huge, and it has a great variety of items. It is just poorly run. I don't know if we should blame the store director or the individual departments. Regardless, if I was the District Manager I would go in there and bust some heads because a nice, big, fancy store like that should have service to match.
