Food is great, has nice specialty items, and they fresh bake their bread.

Also, the review from Peter Litska below is from Kate's husband, the other owner of the deli. Incredible.

Fresh, made to order, amazing flavors. The Purdy is my absolute favorite!

Through the cracks of okay service lies a bigger problem. The owners are known scammers and all around crazy- pay it forward and avoid this place outright.

They seemed to take great pride in their food. I appreciated the large variety of healthy options. However, the chocolate chip cookies looked too good to pass up. It was a big thick cookie with chunky chips. I recommend it for all chocolate chip cookie lovers.

I'm part of a Burlington area Facebook forum which started as a group for the college I attended as an undergrad, but now operates more as a catch-all for community recommendations, for-sale items, awareness posts, etc. About a month ago I saw about Cobblestone. It was negative. That's all I'll say. No hearsay or "rumors." I had commented on this thread and discussed with past employees and patrons of Cobblestone. I stated that I would no longer go there based on what I had heard. Without my permission, my comments were screenshotted and posted on a page intending start a of boycott Cobblestone. I kindly asked they black out my name and they did, since I mentioned I worked nearby and did not want my coworkers to be involved or identified in any way. That was done and I forgot about all of this.

I want to preface this review with saying I have never formally or publicly written a completely bad or negative review about a business, ever. This is my very first "one star" review and I wish more than anything I wasn't writing it.

So, the food and service are pretty decent at Cobblestone. However, apparently if you are a patron of theirs and say anything negative about their business or decide to simply stop going to their business, they will threaten you with legal action or even threaten your job. Even if I was wrong to believe the "rumors" about their business practices, no business owner should confront and threaten a patron like that in public or in private.

Bacon melts into smoked gouda cheese with fresh roasted sliced turkey and then this tasty bread with maple and walnuts.

Today I was shopping in a department store, minding my own business. Imagine my surprise when owner of Cobblestone approaches me. Her name is Kate. We clearly know each other by name as I was a regular customer at her business for two years. Now, not only did Kate begin to bring up my comments on the boycott page and state to me that she figured out it was me even with my name blacked out, she then threatened to call my place of business. She very obviously implied she was going to get me fired. She said everything these numerous people had said online about her were lies and questioned why I hadn't come to her or her husband, the other owner, to confirm or deny the accusations. She accused me of ruining her business, being a liar and most importantly, caused a scene in a department store. People were staring at us and it was embarrassing. I had barely said even three sentences to her when she then said she was going to have her lawyer call my office, and that I was threatening her and making her scared and stormed away. After that, I all but ran out of the department store and bought the clothing in my hands without even trying it on.

I worked down the street from Cobblestone for two years, and I probably bought a sandwich once a every two weeks from there, possibly more, for those two years. It was always good, very rarely did they not have something I ordered or would make a mistake. When they did, it was corrected, but I often wouldn't complain because I'm just not that type of customer. I can live without tomatoes on my sandwich or different type of cheese. If my order would take a while, they'd often give me a cookie or dessert to compensate me for my time. They'd often call me if I ordered ahead and let me know they were out of something so I could correct it before I arrived. In that sense, Cobblestone is a fine deli.
