After reading the review from someone who feels the staff are unfriendly and not welcoming I felt I had to share my very different experience at the library. I find the staff to be friendly and welcoming and happy to chat for a moment. The nature of the circulation desk is that the staff are not just sitting there waiting for customers...they do other things so sometimes they are a bit preoccupied but I do not take offense at this. The library staff see many many people and there are lots of people who are there often. While it would be great to be remembered by name I think it's asking a lot to expect that. Also, I think there is still a "culture" in libraries of trying to maintain a somewhat quiet environment so that may be part of it too. I think the library and the staff are great!
The staff is very helpful and accommodating. The Library itself is a delightful space to be in.
I love this library! I have never had an issue with any of the librarians. They are always sweet and kind to my family and I. A wonderful staff!! Plus, the book selection is pretty great. They often have new releases not long after they first come out. I couldn't ask for a better library.
Depending on our schedule, we do try to go a lot. We go at least once a week. But on average we go 3 times a week. My daughter loves it and I bring her because she does. But...
I have been bringing my daughter for over a year, on average 3-4 a week. The librarians are still as rude as ever. Not once has any of them said "hey weren't you guys hear yesterday,.. hi,... Nice to see you... Hello,... How are you". Never have any of these basic common courtesys been used towards me. In fact, it's quite the opposite. I don't feel welcome. I don't feel like I'm part of a community. I don't feel like they have any concern for myself or my daughter.
They have a great children's section.
They have great programs. I could bring my daughter there everyday, for a different events.
If it wasn't for my daughter, I would not go at all.

The main librarians, not Megan (from the children's section) are horrible. Everytime I check out my books, they have never once said hi or hello. They don't look at you, they look through you. They are so elitist and condenseding. I literally avoid getting books, so I don't have to interact with them. If my partner is with me, I make him check the books out.
I have a 3 year old daughter. So there are many reasons why I bring my daughter to the library. In my daughter's lifetime, she will exposed to so much technology, I want her to know and love books, reading and librarys.
Out of all of the places I go, this is one place where they don't use my daughter's name. This is after a year. Please do not include Megan in this review because she is awesome. She actually knows my daughter's name and uses it. Megan is awesome and excellent with children. Megan is the reason why I gave the library one star instead of no stars.
Despite using a vpn, my internet activities were hacked via wifi. I logged into the wifi and then downloaded the vpn via the wifi. I cant figure out why a person would want to hack into my internet activities... i wouldnt use the library's wifi or desktop computers.
