I broke my foot, 2 surgeries, I'm so happy with the results. Dr. Michelson not only knows what he is doing, he is very kind. His nurse is a hoot too!
Had two appointments spaced four hours apart. First appointment went off without a hitch. Even spent money in your cafeteria. However, while waiting for the second appointment, the office manager of the second provider sicced the cops on me for... hanging around??? I was economically profiled, e.g., accused of being a homeless person.
Physical therapy was amazing. I really could not have asked for more compassionate and expert care from my physical therapist.
Would it help to know that the food offered on the menus was comparable to a five-star restaurant?! It sounded like it would be delicious and l was not disappointed - it was !
The University of Vermont Medical Center has top rating in my book. I have experienced emergency room visits there as well as now this major hip surgery -and l cannot say enough excellent things about this fine hospital.
The physical plant of the hospital was kept meticulously clean , which added to the overall experience of being in a hospital where pride was taken its being sanitary.
The staff of UVMMC are great, in my experience. I have worked with many folks who have received help through the Health Assistance Program. I refer people to this program on a weekly basis, and it never lets them down. The Frymoyer Center has also been a huge benefit to the community. Thank you for working so hard to heal our community.
The various staff members of all levels : Dr. Campbell and his team, the nursing staff , the physical therapy team, the cleaning staff and the food department were kind, competent, exceedingly thorough and professional . There was a definite sense of a consistency amongst the staff giving the message that myself (and all of us as patients ) were in "good hands".
If i could give this hospital 0 stars, I would. I have had nothing but bad experiences with this hospital. I have been 5 different times over the course of several years and everytime has been the same. The wait is incredibly long (longer than any other hospital or doctors office I've been to), and when you leave you are left with a "well it's probably this, but we can't know for sure" as your answer to what's wrong. They're uncertainty in their diagnosis makes me feel like they have no clue what they are doing. Also, their financial department is sketchy and deceitful! I was charged for outpatient surgery for an MRI! They refused to change the coding saying that's how it's done (though i know for a fact that other hospitals do not code it as such and even my pcp doctor thought it was absurd) and therefore i was charged several hundred dollars more than i was expecting to pay! I would not recommend going here unless it is absolutely necessary. It was a complete waste of my time and money everytime I had to go.
Last week l underwent a complete hip surgery at the University of Vermont Medical Center. Everything about the experience was stellar !
Pain management rational and decisions were shared with the patient and the experience of undergoing major surgery was more manageable and less traumatic due to the wonderful competence and compassion of the nursing staff and the physical therapist assigned to me.
When l realized that going home was not a good option for me and that l needed to go to rehab - this change of plans midstream was handled graciously and seamlessly by the office staff.
